Set-Up: Decide who will use which checker color. Set up the board by placing each player’s pieces on the dark squares in the first three rows in front of them.
To Play: Take turns moving one checker at a time diagonally towards your opponent’s side of the board with the objective of jumping over and capturing their pieces. Checkers must stay on the dark squares and the space on the other side of the opponent’s checker must be open to jump over it. Multiple checkers can be captured if jumped consecutively with the same checker.
If a checker makes it to the other side of the board, it’s “kinged” and can move in either direction on the board. Flip the checker over to reveal a “K.” Keep jumping and capturing to win the game. Once you have captured all of your opponent’s checkers, you have won the game! If a player is unable to make a move, they lose automatically.
